Arrowhead Plaza was Bismarck’s first shopping center. Developed by T. Clem Casey, the center officially opened on November 11, 1953. Although small in comparison to other malls in the city, Arrowhead still maintains a strong presence as a major shopping destination.
The original Dan’s Supermarket has anchored at the center of Arrowhead Plaza since its opening. Other notable long-term tenants include US Bank, Plaza Drug, Plaza Beer Depot, a Hallmark store, and The Walrus Restaurant. Arrowhead Tesoro, the city’s last full-service gas station, sits adjacent to Arrowhead Plaza. Long-time tenant Ben Franklin Crafts closed in 2007.
Arrowhead Plaza completed a major exterior face-lift in Summer 2011.
